A fine mask of a wooden coffin lid, stucco and paint.
The coffins of the Third Intermediate Period are considered the finest of ancient Egyptian history. The colors are extremely vivid and bright. This piece shows a fine face with a pompous wig typical of this era.
Date: Third Intermediate Period, 21st to 22nd Dynasty 1085-713 B.C
Material: Wood, stucco and paint.
